Just got home from a little trip up to my hometown for my sister’s wedding (which was SOFUNANDAMAZINGANDAHH), and decided to do a little sketch to warm me back up from not drawing a whole lot the last few days. (And also to celebrate Shark Week)!
So, on November 1st and 2nd I will have a vendor booth at this here AMAZING looking nerdy/weird/whatever art and craft fair In Akron, Ohio. And I just want to get the word out there for other artists or crafters who may be in the area about why they should totes magotes sign up for this:
the last one earlier this year had 7000+ attendees (attendance is FREE vs. who-even-knows-how-much-anymore for Comic Con)
booths start at just $80 for a 6 x 8’ table, and even the largest 10’ x 10’ booths are only $300 (vs. Comic Con, where a 6 x 8’ table is over $300)
it’s run by the NICEST people imaginable who are artists and frequent con goers (and also con-runners). Andy Hopp runs it (with some awesome help!) and he’s one of the coolest, most chill artists I know.
I think they’re doing a really awesome thing having this show and I really, really recommend more people sign up for it! It’s a great deal espeically if you’re new to selling at cons and there’re going to be lots of cool people there. So… JUST DO IT DARNIT. Go sign up right now!
Some marker sketches from the last few weeks! Whenever I’m not around my computer I’ve been doing these. It’s interesting how much it forces you to think about what you’re going to draw and be careful about your line quality. Also those prismacolor fine point brush markers are SO WONDERFUL.
